Dr. Davor Kust

Oncology

Dr. Kust graduated from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, where he earned his PhD in 2016, defending a thesis titled "Prognostic Significance of Cytokeratin-20 Gene Expression in Peripheral Blood Cells of Patients with Colorectal Cancer". In 2018, he became the first university-level Master of Oncology and Radiotherapy in Croatia, defending a thesis titled "Hypothyroidism as a Predictive Factor for Better Response to Sunitinib Therapy". Since 2012, he has worked as an oncologist at KBC Sestre milosrdnice in Zagreb. From 2015 to 2019, he served as a delegate in the assembly of the Croatian Medical Chamber and chaired the Committee for Young Doctors, later becoming the vice president of the same body until 2021. He is one of the founders of the Solmed Polyclinic, and in 2021, he established his own Polyclinic Anova. Throughout his career, he has published around 50 scientific and professional articles, 12 chapters in medical books and textbooks, and 25 congress abstracts. He is a regular speaker at both national and international oncology conferences, with his main areas of interest being gastrointestinal tumors, head and neck tumors, and neuroendocrine tumors.
