Dr. Ivana Kavelj

Radiology

Dr. Kavelj graduated from the University of Zagreb’s School of Medicine in 2010 with high honors. After completing her internship and passing the professional exam, she began working in the out-of-hospital emergency service at the Emergency Medicine Institute of Karlovac County. Since 2015, she has been working at the Clinical Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at KBC Sestre milosrdnice. In 2020, she completed her specialization in clinical radiology and passed the European Diploma in Radiology (EDiR) exam. During her specialization, she was awarded a scholarship from the European School of Radiology (ESOR), and in 2019, she spent three months at Hôpital du Kremlin Bicêtre in Paris, where she gained additional education and experience in urogenital radiology. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Biomedical and Health Sciences doctoral program at the University of Zagreb’s School of Medicine. She is a member of the Croatian Society of Radiologists (HDR) and the European Society of Radiology (ESR). Dr. Kavelj continuously educates herself and actively participates in domestic and international radiology conferences, with a special interest in thoracoabdominal radiology, or "body imaging."
