Dr. Krizo Katinic

Psychiatry and psychology

Professor Katinić was born in Bosanski Brod. He graduated in medicine and earned his Ph.D. in philosophy in 2005 at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Society of Jesus in Zagreb with a dissertation titled "Research on Attitudes Toward Death and Mortality in Light of Karl Jaspers' Philosophy of Existence and Viktor E. Frankl's Logotherapy." For many years, he served as the head of the Department of Psychiatry at the Sisters of Charity University Hospital in Zagreb. He also lectured at the Faculty of Medicine in Osijek, as well as at the Croatian Studies and the College of Health Sciences in Zagreb. His work focuses on existential psychotherapy, logotherapy and existential analysis, depression, psycho-oncology, and the phenomenology and influence of media on psychosocial dynamics.
