Dr. Tomislav Cengic

dr. sc. Tomislav Čengić, MD, is a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology with a narrower interest in the field of minimally invasive, arthroscopic surgery, as well as reconstructive surgery and the installation of artificial joints. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Rijeka in 2009, and specialized in the Traumatology Clinic of the Clinical Hospital Center of the Sisters of Mercy in Zagreb and the Orthopedic Clinic of the Clinical Hospital Center Zagreb - He received his doctorate in 2021 on the topic "Effect of anteversion of the cementless femoral component of the hip endoprosthesis". Zweymüller" on primary stability and susceptibility to periprosthetic fracture - a biomechanical study on an artificial bone model". He continued to improve at numerous foreign medical centers and institutes, and is also a member of the Osteoarthritis Research Center Basel. He is the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards for innovations in medicine. He is a lecturer at the Department of Anatomy and Physiology of the University of Health in Zagreb and a mentor for several graduate theses. He is the author of 3 university textbooks and over 20 scientific and professional papers. Since 2010, he has been the doctor of the Zagreb Handball Club and the Croatian national handball team.
