About

Manual muscle testing is a method for measuring the strength of an individual muscle or muscle group, based on the effective performance of movement against the force of gravity and the manual resistance applied to that movement.

Candidate

After each period of immobility, such as due to a fracture, immobilization with a cast, or surgery, a manual muscle test is necessary. Immobility leads to muscle weakening, so it is important to check and measure their strength and determine the therapy and exercises for muscle strengthening.

Preparation

The manual muscle test does not require special equipment, is easy to perform, and does not tire the patient.

Treatment

According to the manual muscle test, muscle strength is rated from 0 to 5. It assesses whether a muscle can achieve contraction, perform movement without the influence of gravity, and ultimately overcome movement in full range with the presence of manual resistance from the physiotherapist.

ZagrebMed patient reviews

I needed help while in Zagreb with quite a complex problem regarding a non-EU prescription. Ivana from ZagrebMed went above and beyond. I've rarely encountered someone so professional and kind, who helped solve a medical issue, one often far more difficult when abroad, so quickly. I cannot praise her, and as a result, the ZagrebMed, enough.
