Kinesitherapy – measures of range of motion

Starting from
€15

About

Measuring the range of motion is important for evaluating movement function. It involves the free mobility of extremities involved in the joint as well as the mobility of the spine. Measurements are taken from the so-called zero or neutral position, which is defined for each joint and from which the measurement begins.

Candidate

With any immobilization caused by a fracture, plaster cast, or surgery, muscle structures shorten and the range of motion in the joint decreases. After measuring the range of motion, appropriate exercises and physical therapy are determined.

Preparation

No special preparation is required.

Treatment

The range of motion in a specific joint is measured using a goniometer.

I needed help while in Zagreb with quite a complex problem regarding a non-EU prescription. Ivana from ZagrebMed went above and beyond. I've rarely encountered someone so professional and kind, who helped solve a medical issue, one often far more difficult when abroad, so quickly. I cannot praise her, and as a result, the ZagrebMed, enough.
