About

Diadynamic currents belong to low-frequency sinusoidal currents with a frequency range of 50 to 100 Hz, which are either half-wave or full-wave rectified. These currents are modulated in frequency and intensity, combining two frequencies that alternate rhythmically. Today, four main combinations or modulations are used, with the most well-known being modulation 4, which is used for electroblockade. These currents are used in electrotherapy procedures.

Candidate

Diadynamic currents are used to treat painful conditions and muscle tension, remove edema and hematomas, improve circulation, treat extrajoint rheumatism and other similar conditions, and for rehabilitation after injuries.

Preparation

Indication of a physiatrist is required.

Treatment

The electrotherapeutic procedure using diadynamic currents involves applying electricity to the painful area using electrodes. The area under the electrodes becomes red and warm due to the dilation of blood vessels. This therapy improves the exchange of substances in cells, reduces the sensitivity of pain receptors, accelerates tissue healing, and increases muscle contractions, thereby reducing pain.

ZagrebMed patient reviews

I needed help while in Zagreb with quite a complex problem regarding a non-EU prescription. Ivana from ZagrebMed went above and beyond. I've rarely encountered someone so professional and kind, who helped solve a medical issue, one often far more difficult when abroad, so quickly. I cannot praise her, and as a result, the ZagrebMed, enough.
