About

Electrical stimulation is a type of electrotherapy that induces muscle contractions using electrical impulses. Various types and methods of applying electrical stimulation are tailored for use after musculoskeletal injuries (such as immobilization after bone fractures) or neurological damage (like stroke or facial nerve palsy). It is also commonly used in cases of adult hemiplegia due to various causes like cerebrovascular accidents, trauma, or tumors.

Preparation

No special preparation is required. Indication of a physiatrist is required.

Treatment

We apply electrodes to the patient to stimulate the nerve or muscle with specified parameters.

I needed help while in Zagreb with quite a complex problem regarding a non-EU prescription. Ivana from ZagrebMed went above and beyond. I've rarely encountered someone so professional and kind, who helped solve a medical issue, one often far more difficult when abroad, so quickly. I cannot praise her, and as a result, the ZagrebMed, enough.
