High Intensity Laser Therapy (HILT)
About
High-Intensity Laser Therapy (HILT), performed using the HIRO device, utilizes a state-of-the-art Nd laser to achieve a significant thermal effect in a relatively short period.
HILT therapy with the HIRO laser is applied for inflammatory and painful conditions of the musculoskeletal system. Commonly treated issues include injuries and damage to tendons, muscles, the spine, and other joints. It has shown excellent results in conditions such as tendonitis, bursitis, synovitis, partial muscle and tendon ruptures, sprains, post-traumatic edema, low back pain, osteochondritis, and degenerative changes (osteoarthritis, chondropathies).
Preparation
For better energy absorption, clean skin, preferably without hair, is recommended. Indication of a physiatrist is required.
Treatment
The device for HILT therapy has two different probes, one of which is used for analgesia (pain relief), while the other is used for cartilage regeneration. The analgesia probe is used to reduce inflammation, pain, contractures, or neuralgia. Almost all parts of the body can be treated, except for the head and genital areas. The laser probe is applied to the painful part of the body, and the therapy lasts about 20 minutes, depending on the size of the affected area. For cartilage regeneration, we use the regeneration probe.
