Enzyme therapy
About
Enzyme therapy is a modern method in which enzymes such as lipase, collagenase, and hyaluronidase are injected into the skin and subcutaneous tissue to reduce fat deposits, remodel collagen, and decrease swelling. The enzymes are of non-animal origin, minimizing the risk of allergic reactions. The enzymes can be used individually or in combination simultaneously.
Lipase breaks down triglycerides from adipocytes, reducing their volume without damage, which decreases the risk of inflammation and pain.
Collagenase breaks down non-functional, accumulated collagen, leading to the formation of functional collagen, tightening loose skin, and reducing scars.
Hyaluronidase breaks down polysaccharides that cause increased fluid retention in certain areas of the body. The combination of enzymes is used depending on the specific issue being addressed. Enzymes are simultaneously injected with several small pricks in areas such as the abdomen, hips, legs, scars—atrophic, hypertrophic, and keloid, stretch marks, and are used to tighten loose skin on the thighs and areas affected by cellulite.
Candidate
The treatment is recommended for individuals who desire skin tightening and body contouring, rejuvenation, and the removal of fat deposits.
Preparation
An anesthetic cream is applied locally to the client 30 minutes before the treatment.
Treatment
The enzyme solution is injected multiple times with a thin needle into the treated area, which is pre-applied with an anesthetic cream before the procedure. The treatment is recommended to be performed 2 to 5 times at intervals of 2 to 3 weeks, and it can be done throughout the entire year.
Result
Initial results are visible a few weeks after the treatment and continue to improve over time.
