About

SkinPen microneedling therapy for the face is a cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a device equipped with fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin's surface.

Candidate

Candidates for SkinPen microneedling therapy are typically individuals with problematic facial skin such as acne scars, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, or generally uneven skin tone. This treatment can help improve skin texture, stimulate collagen production, and enhance the overall appearance of the facial skin.

Preparation

Prior to the treatment, it is recommended to consult with a cosmetic professional to assess the condition of the skin and determine the suitability of the treatment. Some preparation steps may involve cleansing the skin and applying specific preparations to prepare the skin for the treatment.

Treatment

During the SkinPen microneedling therapy, the device with fine needles is gently used to create controlled micro-injuries on the surface of the facial skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the skin's natural renewal processes, including collagen and elastin production, which can result in tighter skin and reduced visibility of scars and wrinkles.

Result

After SkinPen microneedling therapy, results may include improved skin texture, reduced acne scars or other skin damage, and increased firmness and elasticity of the facial skin. To achieve optimal effectiveness, several treatments at appropriate intervals may be necessary.

Precautions

It is important to follow the professional's instructions after the treatment to ensure proper skin healing and the maximum effects of the treatment. This may involve the application of special skincare preparations and avoiding exposure to the sun or other potentially irritating factors until the skin is fully regenerated.

F.A.Q.

What size needles are used during the treatment?

The device contains 14 microneedles made of high-quality Japanese stainless steel that can make as many as 1,600 microscopic channels per second. Thanks to new technologies, the device is much more precise, which enables more precise puncture depths. At every moment, you know exactly what result will be achieved with the treatment.

In which case am I not a candidate for SkinPen?

If you have open wounds, injuries or burns on your face, you are not a candidate for SkinPen. Also, the treatment is not performed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

What is the required number of treatments?

For the treatment of deeper scars (eg surgical scars, severe scars on the face), it is recommended to do six to eight treatments, while for anti-aging and improving the texture, the first results can be expected after three treatments. It is important to remember that results cannot be seen immediately, they come over time and improve over time.

Can scars be treated with SkinPen?

The specialty of the SkinPen treatment is precisely scars - facial scars, acne scars, surgical scars. Microneedle therapy naturally stimulates the skin to self-renew, to create new collagen and elastin, thus making scars less visible.

Does the therapy cause redness?

The therapy causes redness and inflamed skin that is warmer to the touch. This is a normal reaction to microneedling treatment. The skin will calm down 1-2 hours after the treatment, and completely normalize after 24 hours.

How long should I stay out of the sun after therapy?

It is recommended to avoid the sun and solariums for 30 days after the treatment.

Does microneedle therapy hurt?

The treatment is minimally to moderately painful. It depends on how sensitive each of us is and it depends on the region of the face being treated.
