Dermatological examination

Dermatological examination includes a clinical examination of the skin and visible mucous membranes, with proper diagnosis, and when necessary a swab is taken for mycological or bacteriological treatment in cases of suspected infection, or in case of need of histopathologic confirmation or exclusion of certain diagnoses. Sample is taken for biopsy analysis and then sent to a laboratory for further testing. In the case of nail disease, it is often best to make a mycological test to confirm or exclude the fungus as a cause of the problem. Examination of the scalp may include a program. After the diagnosis is proposed, we suggest appropriate treatment according to the guidelines of modern dermatology.
