About
Good education about the diabetic diet is a prerequisite for successful treatment. After the diabetologist informs you about diabetes, diet, self-control and exercise, the nurse gives you additional detailed instructions so that you can return to normal life as quickly as possible. In addition to all this, you receive individualized written instructions on nutrition, which define the optimal energy intake, that is, the daily amount of food, the number and schedule of meals adapted to your body weight, therapy, physical activities, habits and needs.
You need education on diabetic nutrition after the diagnosis of diabetes or if you have been told after an internist/physical examination that you have an increased risk for diabetes.
Preparation
No special preparation is required.
Treatment
The education includes detailed instructions on how to eat with regard to the type of diabetes, previous habits, type of work, etc. The consultation lasts about 30 minutes.

I made a medical checkup trip from Sweden to Croatia at 9-11 October.
