About
Internal medicine examination is performed by a specialist in internal medicine. The examination includes a detailed clinical examination and a conversation with the patient, during which the doctor takes detailed information about the patient's previous illnesses, illnesses in the family, and current ailments (anamnesis).
Candidate
Internist examination is required as a systematic (preventive) examination, as part of preoperative treatment or when health problems appear.
Preparation
It is necessary to bring all previous test results. It is preferable to come to the examination on an empty stomach due to possible laboratory tests.
Treatment
After a thorough look at medical history, the doctor performs a clinical examination that includes inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation, which means that the doctor will determine the general condition of the patient by looking at the skin and visible mucous membranes, examining the lymph nodes, blood vessels, abdominal organs with light pressure with the tips of the fingers, listening to the heart and lungs, and by measuring blood pressure. After the interview and ECG examination, the doctor will decide on further necessary tests or examinations in agreement with the patient. An accurate diagnosis based on the obtained data is a prerequisite for the successful treatment of the patient.

I made a medical checkup trip from Sweden to Croatia at 9-11 October.

I will keep doing these checks periodically in Zagreb. Unfortunately, we do not have such high-quality medical checkup service in Sweden.
