Skin Prick Test or PRICK Test (in Children)

About

The skin prick test, also known as the PRICK test, is one of the most commonly used methods for diagnosing allergies in children. This test is quick, safe, and minimally invasive, allowing for the identification of sensitivity to various allergens such as pollen, dust, food, or animal dander.

During the procedure, small amounts of allergens are applied to the skin of the forearm or back, and the skin is lightly pricked to bring the allergen into contact with the immune system. If the child is allergic to a particular allergen, redness or swelling will appear at the prick site within 15-20 minutes.

The PRICK test is used to diagnose allergies such as allergic rhinitis, asthma, atopic dermatitis, and food allergies, helping to plan appropriate treatment.

Procedure: Vaccination
Hospital: Sabol

I was in the Balkans and needed a clinic to vaccinate my baby. I found Zagreb to be very easy to communicate with considering I do not know the local language. The clinic had the same vaccinations I would get in Australia, which gave me peace of mind. The doctor was very thorough during the consultation, further assuring me that my baby is getting the best care. If you're a visitor from abroad I would definitely recommend this clinic as they are at western, modern standards.
