Lung Ultrasound in Children

About

Lung ultrasound in children is a non-invasive diagnostic method that uses sound waves to examine the lungs and surrounding structures. This method allows doctors to assess the state of lung tissue, fluid in the lungs, inflammatory processes, the presence of air or fluid in the pleural cavity (pleural effusion, pneumothorax) and other abnormalities. Ultrasound of the lungs in children is increasingly used because it is safe, painless and does not involve exposure to radiation, as is the case with X-rays.

This examination is most often used to diagnose lung infections, such as pneumonia, but also to evaluate lung complications in children who have respiratory difficulties. Ultrasound is often recommended as the first screening method for suspected fluid in the lungs or other breathing problems.

The advantage of lung ultrasound is that it enables a quick assessment of lung conditions without the need for sedation or long preparations, and is often used in emergency situations or in small children.

Procedure: Vaccination
Hospital: Sabol

I was in the Balkans and needed a clinic to vaccinate my baby. I found Zagreb to be very easy to communicate with considering I do not know the local language. The clinic had the same vaccinations I would get in Australia, which gave me peace of mind. The doctor was very thorough during the consultation, further assuring me that my baby is getting the best care. If you're a visitor from abroad I would definitely recommend this clinic as they are at western, modern standards.
