MRI of the spine

It is common to remove all metal objects that might interfere with the MRI procedure, such as jewelry, buckles, or metal clothing fasteners. It is also important to inform the medical staff about any metal implants or medical devices within the body.

During the procedure, the patient lies on a movable table that is slowly inserted into the MRI scanner tunnel. It is crucial for the patient to remain still during the procedure to ensure a high-quality image of the spine. The procedure is painless, although some patients may experience mild claustrophobia due to the enclosed space of the scanner.
